Yoga Nidra means "yogic sleep", sleep with conscious awareness. As distinct from "nidra", sleep without awareness, what we usually think of as sleep.
It is a guided, systematic, auditory process that has many benefits, beginning with deep relaxation at not only the physical level but the deeper emotional and mental levels of the subconscious and unconscious mind.
